Individual Therapy

Therapy Rooted in queer Affirmation and Care

We know therapy isn’t about “fixing” you, but about creating space for you to fully be yourself, explore the hard stuff, and imagine new ways forward. We work with kids, teens, and adults, offering care that’s queer-affirming, anti-oppressive, and rooted in the belief that healing happens when we don’t have to hide who we are.

When you’re ready, you can schedule a free consultation with one of our therapists.

Therapy for Kids (6-12)

For our youngest clients, therapy is often playful and expressive. We use games, art, storytelling, and creativity to help kids:

  • Express big feelings in safe ways

  • Build emotional awareness and coping skills

  • Navigate changes in family, school, or health

  • Develop resilience and self-confidence

Our therapists see kids 6 years and older. If you’re interested in therapy for your child who is younger than 6, please contact us for more information and referrals.

Therapy for Teens (13-17)

Being a teen is complicated. You’re figuring out who you are, where you fit, and how to handle the pressures of school, family, and friendships at the same time. Therapy for teens at Vada is a judgment-free zone where they can:

  • Explore identity, including gender, sexuality, and expression

  • Talk openly about stress, anxiety, depression, and self-harm

  • Get support around school pressures, social dynamics, and family conflict

  • Build tools for confidence, self-trust, and effective boundaries

Our therapists create a grounding space in the middle of it all, where you can ask complex questions and grow into your full self.

Therapy for adults (18+)

Adulthood isn’t about having it all figured out. It’s about finding spaces where you can be fully yourself while navigating the stuff life throws your way. Whether you’re dealing with the grind of capitalism, messy relationships, climate distress, complex trauma, or just feeling stuck in general, we’d love to help! Common themes in our sessions include:

  • Processing trauma, burnout, or chronic stress

  • Navigating identity, sexuality, and relationships

  • Building coping strategies for anxiety, depression, or grief

  • Practicing self-compassion

We take a collaborative approach, where you set the pace and we meet you with curiosity, care, and an approach rooted in queerness, joy, and collective healing.
